Auto / Live updates will be ON by default, these means the map will automatically refresh the data every 25 seconds to keep the position as up to date as possible. Buddy icons will use our engineered “clustering” technology to make viewing several Buddy’s in close proximity easier to do. Without this “Clustering” technology viewing several Buddy’s close to each other would be very difficult and messy.
Buddy icons will turn RED encase of Alerts / Emergencies. If the Buddy is in a Cluster of other Buddy’s, then the Cluster icon will turn RED and you can mouse over the icon to view which Buddy has the Alert / Emergency.
Trip View

Icons / arrows will be clustered on the map in case of overlapping as explained above The trip will be plotted on a default 48hr window.
Easy to use on screen sliding handle to change the default history view to whatever is required. Advanced features like being able to select a date range and then replay the entire trip on a day by day basis.
Configuration
hide...more...Messaging
hide...more...Basic canned messages
This allows you to load pre written messages onto the 9575 handset, so the user doesn’t need to type a particular message that may be often sent. For example rather than typing a message: “Hi just arrived on site all ok”. This can be pre loaded on the 9575 handset and sent quickly by the user from the phone menu. Up to 15 canned messages can be written and pre loaded. You can also set the messages to be automatically sent to 5 people via email or SMS. Additional recipients can be manually added at time of sending. If you are using SMS only for your data, then canned messages are limited to a maximum of 160 characters.
Message History
Through the MyBuddy application, you will be able to review all sent and received messages, similar to what you can do when checking your emails.
Email messaging
Email messaging is the ability to send and receive email messages from and to the handset from family / friends and work associates. When you register your 9575 handset with the MyBuddy application, your 9575 will be allocated an email address like: IMEI@mybuddy.com.au This email address can be given to your family and friends so they can keep in touch with you and you can keep them updated on your trip or adventure! Please note that receiving as well as sending emails is charged against your data usage.
Remote Polling
hide...more...The MyBuddy service allows you to remotely poll the Extreme satellite handset from the application. This allows you to find out exactly where the phone is at any time, assuming the phone is on of course. Remote polling is a good option to keep your costs down, by programming the handset not to send automatic position reports, but rather just find where they are when you want to or need to know. Please note sending a remote polling request still incurs charges from the MyBuddy service and also when the phone responds back to the MyBuddy service.
